1.   The  KNNL  has  planned  to  complete  several  major  irrigation  projects  under  its   jurisdiction expeditiously.  It is proposed to tender large number of works of canals, distributories, CD works, barrages  and  head  works of Lift Irrigation Schemes etc. costing over Rs.3000.00 crores in next three  years. The  KNNL  has  already enrolled contractors during February, 2001 and October, 2001 for undertaking major  works  of  the  project. However,  considering  the  requests  of  many  of the contractors / agencies  who  were  unable  to  apply  on  the  earlier  occasion and also from already enrolled under select list of KNNL whose certificates have expired on 31.3.2003 and have been renewed upto 31.7.2003,  the  KNNL  now invites fresh applications from contractors/agencies for enrolment.

 2.  The major portion of works are proposed to be tendered under the following categories:- 
     a)       Category – I – works costing more than Rs. 15.00 crores.
     b)       Category – II – works costing Rs.5.00 crores to Rs.15.00 crores 
     c)       Category – III – works costing Rs.2.00 crores to Rs.5.00 crores

      Only  such of the contractors who are qualified and enrolled in the select lists of contractors will 
     be eligible to apply for works under Category – I, II or III . The KNNL, however, reserves the right
     to separately pre-qualify contractors for works of specialised nature. 

3.  Those already enrolled in response to our earlier notifications and whose certificates have expired by 31.3.2003 and whose certificates have been renewed upto 31.7.2003 also need to apply.

4.  Only the Class-I Contractors registered with PWD of Karnataka are eligible to apply.

5.  The  blank  application forms, along with detailed instructions for the enrolment in the select lists
will be available in this office on payment of a non refundable amount of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand  only). The  amount  shall  be payable through Demand Draft drawn on any scheduled bank  in  favour  of  karanataka  Neeravari Nigam Limited, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore. The blank  application  forms  can  be  collected during office hours from  23.6.2003 to 30.6.2003 at Registered Office, KNNL, Bangalore on producing  of  an  attested  copy  of  the  registration certificate issued by PWD, Government of Karnataka in the name of applicant.

6.   Application forms will not be sent by post.

7.  Prescribed  application  form  duly  completed  in  all  respects,  accompanied  with non-refundable DD towards prescribed  enrolment  fee  for  respective  category are to be submitted at the above office during office hours from 7.7.2003 to 10.7.2003.

8.   Contractors  desiring  to  apply  for  more  than  one  category should apply separately. In case,
     a  contractor  is  found  eligible  for  enrolment  in more than one category, he will be enrolled for
     the higher category only.

9.   The  decision  of  the Managing Director, KNNL, Bangalore regarding qualifying or otherwise the
     contractors for enrolment in the select lists of contractors shall be final & binding.
