•  The KNNL has planned to complete several major irrigation projects under its jurisdiction expeditiously. It is proposed to tender large number of works of canals, distributories, CD works, barrages and heads works of Lift Irrigation schemes etc. costing over Rs. 5000.00 crores in next three years. The KNNL had enrolled contractors during june, 2003, 30 th September 2003 and May 2004 for undertaking major works of the project whose certificate are expiring by 31.03.2005. The KNNL now invites fresh applications from all eligible contractors / agencies for enrolment under different categories.

•  The major portion of works are proposed to be tendered under the following categories:-

•  Category – I – works costing more than Rs. 15.00 crores.

•  Category – II – works costing Rs. 5.00 crores to Rs.15.00 crores

•  Category – III- works costing Rs. 2.00 crores to 5.00 crores

Only such of the contractors who are qualified and enrolled in the select lists of contractors will be eligible to apply for works under Category – I, II or III. The KNNL, however, reserves the right to separately pre-qualify contractors for works of specialized nature.

•  Only the Class –I contractors registered with PWD of Karnataka are eligible to apply.

•  The blank application forms, along with detailed instructions for the enrolment in the select lists will be available in this office on payment of a non refundable amount of Rs. 1,000/-(Rupees One thousand only). The amount shall be payable through Demand Draft drawn on any scheduled bank in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore. The blank application forms can be collected during office hours from 25-04-2005 to 07-05-2005 at Registered office KNNL, Bangalore on production of an attested copy of the registration certificate issued by PWD, Government of Karnataka in the name of applicant.

•  Application forms will not be sent by post.

•  Prescribed application form duly completed in all respects, accompanied with DD towards prescribed enrolment fee for respective category can be submitted at the above offices during offices hours from 04-05-2005 to 16-05-2005.

•  Contractors designing to apply for more than one category should apply separately. In case, a contractor is found eligible for enrolment in more than one category, he will be enrolled for the higher category only.

•  During submission of the application, all the relevant originals records should be enclosed.

•  The decision of the Managing Director, KNNL, Bangalore regarding qualifying or otherwise the contractors for enrolment in the select lists of contractors shall be final.
