The agency fixed from Km.10 to 27.52 & Km.36 to 40 of Halyal east canal. Tenders are invited from Km.0 to 10 of Savalgi-Tungal east canal, from Km.0 to 20 of Karimasuthi east canal including combined canal of Karimasuthi LIS . In the balance reaches under Ainapur & Halyal LIS survey works, approval to general alignment, design and preparation of estimates are under progress. Survey works, preparation of general alignment of Karimasuthi & Savalgi-Tungal east & west canal are under progress. |

Tunga Lift Irrigation Scheme |
The estimate of this project is approved for Rs.21.42 crores. The work could not be started since this project comes within Shettihalli Wild Life Sanctuary area. Permission to divert Wildlife Sanctuary lands requires approval of Hon'ble Supreme Court. Forest Department has already been approached in this matter seeking relevant permission. As per the suggestions of the Forest Department, possibility of alternative routes for implementing the scheme outside the forest area is being verified. |

Concrete work for jack well / pump house is in progress. Out of 237 pipes required for raising main, all pipes are already laid. The contractor has procured all the 4 pumps and motors required for this project. The total length of right bank canal is 25.517 km, out of this the work for first 8.77 km and left bank canal 10.907 kms works are physically completed. Balance works of right bank canal i.e. from kmn.8.77 to km.25.517 are in progress and nearing completion. Works are under progress in distributory and minors of right bank and left bank canal. Getting power connection from HESCOM for this project is in progress. |
