12.BANDURA
NALA
 |
These two Projects
envisage diversion of
7.56 TMC of water to Malaprabha
Dam by constructing dam across the above nalas and
diversion canals.

 |
•Administrative
approval for these two projects accorded by Government
in May 2000.
•Environmental
clearance obtained from State Government.
•Proposal for
diversion of about 500 ha. submitted to MOEF, GOI by
State Government and the matter is being pursued.
•Survey, design etc.,
of the above two projects entrusted to
KPCL. The designs, estimates and DTP for Kalasa
dam are under finalisation.
•Designs, estimates
for Bandur nala diversion schemes are under preparation.

Interstate meeting of Secretaries of Goa, Karnataka and
Maharashtra, convened by CWC was held in May 2001.
|
 |
•Hydrological study
for assessment of yield of Madei/Mandovi river will be
carried out by CWC in consultation with Goa, Karnataka
and Maharashtra.

 |
•The report on the
above expected to be submitted within three months.
•
