(MANUAL CUM ELECTRONIC TENDERING SYSTEM)
Sealed percentage tenders in the prescribed from in duplicate two cover system (Envelop-I & II) are invited by the undersigned on behalf of Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited from eligible contractors registered with KPTCL Class-I for the work mentioned in the statement below.
The receipt of application, issue of blank tender documents and receipt of the completed tender documents will be at any of the following offices.
- Office of the Executive Engineer, KNNL., UTP Division, Shimoga.
- Office of the Chief Engineer, KNNL., UTP Zone, Shimoga.
- Central Office, KNNL., WALMI Building, Belur-Belgaum Road, Dharwad.
- Registered Office of KNNL., 4th Floor, Coffee Board Building, Dr: Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore.
While applying, the contractor should clearly specify the office from where he wish to collect the blank tender documents.

The amount for the blank tender document (non refundable) of Rs.27,250-00 (mentioned in the statement) shall be paid in the form of DD or Bankers cheque of a Nationalised / Scheduled Bank drawn in favor of KNNL payable at Shimoga. While applying the contractor should enter the particulars of payment like number of D.D. Date, amount and name of Bank.
The Blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and by linking to e-tendering (i.e. once you are in the above website. Click on e-tender Wizard that will link to www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through Electronic Tender box available there in.
The intending tenderer shall submit the completed tender in Section-I & II (Section-I is price bid and Section-II is EMD and P.Q. Details). If any of the dates mentioned above happens to be a General Holiday, the next working day will hold good.
The contractor will obtain tender documents from the website fill them submit the completed tender document into Electronic Tender box on the website it self. The EMD & Pre- Qualification details shall be scanned and attached to the e-tendering document.
E.M.D. should be in the form of D.D. or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalised or Scheduled Bank Drawn in fovour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, payable at Shimoga. The validity period for E.M.D. shall be for a minimum period of 180 days from the date of opening of tenders. Tender received without EMD shall be rejected. The tender documents requested by mail will be dispatched by registered post on payment of an extra amount of Rs.100.00. The KNNL will not be held responsible for the postal delay if any in the delivery of the documents or non-receipt of the same.
Pre-qualification Conditions:-
- The contractor should have satisfactorily completed similar type of single work costing not less than the amount put to tender in any one year during last 3 years (Work done certificate should be obtained from not below the rank of Executive Engineer).
- The annual turnover of the contractor should be at least the amount of work put to tender the amount of work put to tender for which they have intended to bid in any one year during last 3 years.
- Bidder should possess valid license issued from electrical inspectorate, Government of Karnataka for execution of E.H.T. Translation line works.
- Bidder should have registration certificate from K.P.T.C.L. Major Work.
- Contractor should own the equipment required for the work.
Note:-
The following certificates shall be scanned and attached to e-tender document.
- Registration Certificate from KPTCL Class-I Contractor of any State/Central Government/Public Sector Organisation.
- Employee Provident Fund (E.P.F.) registration certificate.
- Latest income tax clearance certificate.
- Karnataka Sales tax clearance certificate.
- All the above original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of tenders for verification.
- The contractor should attach his/her scanned signature to the schedule “B” before submitting.
- Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The office competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
- Corrigendum will be published in the website for all modification/corrections if any.
- Total cost of work on hand in KNNL. With one contractor should not exceed Rs.20.00 crores (Twenty crores) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation gates etc.
