SHORT TERM TENDER NOTIFICATION No. 11 /2007-08 Dt. 13.8.2007(MANUAL CUM ELECTRONIC TENDERING SYSTEM) Percentage tenders are invited by Manually or Electronic Tenders (E-tender) in prescribed form by the undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, Bangalore from contractors enrolled in the selected list of contractors of K.N.N.L of categories II and above for the work mentioned in the statement below. These tenders are through E-Tendering or by Manual System. While applying for the tender the contractor shall invariably mention whether they want to submit their tender by manually or by E-Tendering. The blank tender documents can be obtained through website to www.knnlindia.com and by linking to e- tender (i.e. Once you are in the above website, click on E-Tender Wizard, which will link to www.tenderwizard.com where Electronic Tendering is provided) and can be submitted through Electronic Tender Box available therein or the blank tender documents obtained and submitted manually in the offices mentioned below.
1. The agency should be category enlisted contractor under KNNL., 2. The cover I and II shall be sealed separately and submitted. The cover I shall contain enrolment certificate requisite EMD detailed fortnightly execution plan to complete the work within 4 months and the under taking in respect of mobilization of all required machinery and equipments to carry out the work within the stipulated time of 4 months and cover II shall contain financial bid 3. The works will be constantly monitored by the CE and if there is any slippage in achieving the programme/milestones month-wise, a penalty/liquidated damages as indicated in the agreement/tender document would be levied. However, these liquidated damaged will be refunded if the contractor makes good the shortfall in the subsequent months or completes the whole work before the stipulated date of completion. 4. The contractor can request for blank tender document up to 25.08.2007 5.30 PM. In the KNNL website www.knnlindia.com link e-tender or in the offices mentioned in note (9) (for manual tendering) on payments of Rs.28,125/- towards the cost of blank tender documents. The cost of from shall be paid in the from of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers Cheque of a Nationalized Bank/Scheduled Bank drawn in favors of “Executive Engineer, No.4, BRLBC Division, Bhadravathi” payable at Bhadravathi (Non-refundable). If the contractor options for e-tendering he should enter the particulars like DD No., Date, amount and name of bank in the website and the original DD should be submitted at any one of the following mentioned offices on or 5. Date for submission for completed bids (Cover I & II) manually and also through e-tendering date 01.09.2007 up to 4.00 PM 7. Date and time of opening of cover-I (technical bid) 03.09.2007 at 11.00 AM Registered office of KNNL., Bangalore. 8. Date and time of opening of Cover II (Price bid) 03.09.2007 at 3.00 PM Registered Office of KNNL., Bangalore. 9. In the following offices receipt for application, issue of blank tenders and completed tender documents will be received on respective dates mentioned above. a) Registered office, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, 4th Floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore – 560 001. b) Central office, KNNL., WALMI Building, Dharwad. c) Chief-Engineer-in-KNNL., UTP Zone, Shimoga. 10. EMD should be in the from of DD or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of the Engineer-in-Chief, KNNL., Shimoga payable at Shimoga. Tender received without valid EMD and required validity period shall be rejected. The validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 (one hundred eighty) days from the date of opening of tender and EMD shall be submitted along with tender booklets. 11. The contractor shall obtain blank tender documents from website and submit the complete tender document into electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tendered box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD shall be submitted in person to the Executive Engineer, BRLBC., No.4, Bhadravathi on or before 03.09.2007 before 11.00 AM at the time of opening of cover-I at Bangalore. 12. Conditional bids including bids with stipulation for settlement disputes by reference to arbitration will be rejected. 13. Any documents submitted through post/courier is at the risk of contractor and KNNL is not responsible for any delay in submission of tender booklets. 14. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever. 15. Corrigendum will be published in the website/news paper for all modifications/correction if any. 16. The contractor should attach his/her scanned signature to the Schedule-‘B’ before submitting completed tenders. 17. If any the dates mentioned above happens to be a general holiday the next working day will holds good. 18. The intending contractors should note that, if any of the lands (either in part/parts or in whole)required for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land start the work by consent of the owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims whatsoever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained. 19.
