PRE-QUALIFICATION CUM TENDER NOTIFICATION No. 04/2007-08/2020

Sealed percentage tenders in the prescribed form in duplicate in two cover system (Section-I & II) are invited by the undersigned on behalf of Managing Director Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited. from the contractors Registered in K.P.W.D. Class-I, Class-II and above for the works mentioned in the statement below.      
The K.P.W.D. Class-I contractors should submit the pre-qualification documents alongwith application.  The blank tender documents will be issued to only who have qualified in the pre-qualification criteria.  The cost of tender documents will not be refunded for disqualified contractors in the pre-qualification criteria.     
                   The receipt of application alongwith pre-qualification details, issue of blank tender documents to pre-qualified contractors and receipt of the completed tender documents will be at any of the following offices.

While applying, the contractor should clearly specify the office from where he Wishes to collect the blank tender documents.

The details of Works put to tender and the category of contractors eligible for tender is as shown below:

If any of the dates mentioned above happens to be general holiday, the next working day will holds good.

1) The amount for the blank tender document (non refundable) shall be paid in the form of D.D or Bankers Cheque of a Nationalized / Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of KNNL payable at Ranebennur. While applying the contractor should enter the particulars of payment like number of D.D, Date, amount and name of Bank etc.

2) The blank tender documents can be obtained through website  www.knnlindia.com  and by linking to E-tendering (i.e., once you are in the above website, click on E-tender wizard which will link to www.tenderwizard.com Where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available there in.

3) The intending tenderer shall submit the completed tender in section-I and II, the section-I is price bid and section-II is EMD.

4) The E-tendering contractors may be obtained tender documents from the website and submit the completed tender document into electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the E-tendering documents.

5) E.M.D shall be in the form of D.D. / Bankers Cheque / Bank Guarantee / F.D.R. of a Nationalized / Scheduled Bank drawin in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, Payable at Ranebennur. District: Haveri, Karnataka State. The validity of E.M.D. shall be for a period of 180 days from the date of opening of tenders.  Tender received without E.M.D. shall be rejected. The tender documents requested by mail will be dispatched by registered post on payment of an extra amount of Rs. 100/-.  The undersigned will not be held responsible for the postal delay if any in the delivery of documents or non-receipt of the same.

Pre qualification documents to be enclosed along with application  
(For works costing more than 50.00 lakhs)

1. The contractor should have executed the similar type of single work costing not less than the amount put to tender in any one year during last 3 years (Work done certificate should be obtained from not below the rank of Executive Engineer)

2. The annual turnover of the contractor should be more than the amount of work put to tender for which they have intended to bid any one year during last 3 years.

3. The contractor should have the ownership of at least the following machineries and equipments.

a. Excavator of not less than 0.9 Cum, capacity.                  – 01 No.

b. Tipper of not less than 4 Cum. capacity.               – 02 No.s

c. Concrete mixer of not less than 7 Cft. capacity with hopper. – 02 No.s

d. All other machineries required for the construction of work such as water tanker, vibrator, centering materials, Form works etc.,

4) Pre-qualification is not required for category contractors, but they should submit category certificate alongwith application for blank tender documents.

1. The contractor who have not executed any works in this Division should enclose the     Performance certificate from the Division where they have worked, for having  satisfactorily executed or satisfactorily executing the works under taken by them under KNNL. such tenders received without satisfactorily performance are liable for  rejection.  

2)    Contractor’s enrollment letter under KNNL / registration certification from KPWD.

3)    Employee Provident Fund (E.P.F.) registration certificate.
4)    Latest income tax clearance certificate.

5)   Karnataka Sales tax clearance Certificate.

6)    All the above original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of tenders for verification.

7)   The contractor should attach his/her scanned signature to the schedule “B” before submitting the        E-tender.

8)    Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The office competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

9)    Corrigendum will be published in the website for all modification/ Corrections if any.

10) Total cost of work on hand in KNNL, with one contractor should not exceed Rs. 20.00 Crores (Twenty crores) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation, gates tunnel etc.,

11) The intending bidders should know that, if any of lands either in part / parts or in whole required for the work is not acquired by the NIGAM, It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to take possession of such land and start the work by consent from the land owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the NIGAM.  And no claim what so ever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained.
