TENDER NOTIFICATION
(MANUAL CUM ELECTRONIC TENDER)

Sealed percentage tenders in the prescribed form in duplicate are invited by the undersigned on behalf of The Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, from contractors registered with KPWD/enrolled in the selected list of contractors of KNNL for the work mentioned in the statement below in accordance with the KTPP Act-1999 & Rule 2000.
         
The receipt of application, issue of blank tender document and receipt of the completed tender documents will be at any of the following offices

1. Office of the Executive Engineer, Kalasa Project Division, Khanapur
2. Office of the Superintending Engineer, M.L.B.C.C. Circle, Naviluteertha
3. Office of the Chief Engineer, Malprabha Project Zone, Dharwad.
4. Central Office, KNNL, WALMI, Building, Belur, Belgaum Road, Dharwad
5. Registered Office of KNNL, 4th floor, Coffee Board, Building, No-1, Dr.Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-560001

While applying, the contractor should clearly specify the office from where he wishes to collect the blank tender documents.

Work put to tender and the category of contractor eligible to tender is stated below.

(1)     Pre-qualification requirement / Conditions.
Note: The bid documents will be issued to such of those bidders who produce documentary evidence for meeting all the following pre-qualification requirements.

i) The agency should be a class-II and above contractor in KPWD / Enrolled under KNNL selected list of contractors.

ii) The Agency should have executed the work of similar nature with minimum quantities in one year during any of the last 2 financial years i.e. 2005-06 & 2006-07 as mentioned below.

Trial bore drilling depth

a) Drilling in overburden  650.00 Rmt

b) Drilling in hard rock    280.00 Rmt

iii) Ownership of the machinery (Drilling equipment) or availabilities on hire basis.

iv) Cost of blank tender document per set (Non-refundable) shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (D.D) or Bankers cheque of Nationalized or scheduled Bank drawn in favour of The Executive Engineer KNNL, Kalasa Project Division Khanapur payable at Khanapur District Belgaum.

v) Blank tender document will be issued only to those who will fulfill  the pre-qualification conditions.

vi) Date of receipt of application for tender document is from   10.01.2008 to 11.01.2008 up to 5.30Pm.

vii) Date of issue of blank tender document is  on 17.01.2008 &   18.01.2008.

viii) Last date of submission of completed tender documents is 19.01.2008  upto 4.00 PM.

x) Date of opening of tender  is on 23.01.2008 at 11.00AM , in The Registered Office of KNNL, 4th floor, Coffee Board, Building, No-1, Dr.Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-560001.

(2) The contractors can request for blank tender document up to   11 -01-2008   till 5.30Pm   in the KNNL website www.knnlindia.com  link e-tender or in the offices mentioned above for manual tendering  on payment of Rs.16875.00 towards the cost of blank tender document along with the documents to meet the pre-qualification requirement required for issue of  tender documents.  The cost of form shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers Cheque of a Nationalized Bank / Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of ‘’The Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited” Kalasa Project Division Khanapur, payable at Khanapur (Non-refundable).

If the contractor options for e-tendering he should enter the particulars like Demand Draft No., date, amount and name of bank in the website and also the original DD should be submitted to the office of The Executive Engineer. Kalasa   Project  Division  Khanapur  before  18-01-2008. up to 5.30 pm.

3) If any of the date mentioned above happens to be a general holiday, the next working day will holds  good

4)  However on receipt of application along with DD and document of prequalification the blank tender document ,will be  issued in the office of the Executive Engineer, Kalasa Project Division Khanapur even up to the previous  day  of the submission of the completed Tender documents.( i.e. 18.01.2008 up to5.30 Pm).

5) Earnest Money Deposit shall be furnished in the form of Demand Draft or Bankers Conditional cheque or bank guarantee of any Nationalized or scheduled           bank drawn in favour of “ The Executive Engineer, KNNL, Kalasa Project Division, Khanapur”payable at Khanapur, district –Belgaum.  Tender received without valid EMD will be rejected. The validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 days from the date of the opening of tenders.

6) The intending contractors should note that, if any of the lands (either in part/ or in whole)   required  for  the  work  is  not  got  acquired  by  Nigam, it shall be the   responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land by consent of the land owner before commencement of the the work at no extra cost to the Nigam and claims whatsoever relating to non-availability of land will not be  entertained.

7) Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected .The officer competent to accept the      Tenders  shall  have rights to reject any or all tenders without assigning any   reasons  whatsoever.
 
8) Tenderers shall clearly mention their full postal address in the declaration.

9) Incomplete tenders are liable for rejection.
