CORRIGENDUM NO.1 TO TENDER NOTIFICATION NO. 02/2007-08, dated:- 17-01-2008.

Ref:1) This Office Tender NotificationNo.02/2007-08,Dated:17-01-2008.   Ltr No. KNNL/ EE/ UTPD/RTL/ PB-3/ Tender/ 2007-08, 1635, dated: 17.01.2008.

In partial modification to the tender notification cited above following modification are made bidders are requested to please note.

      The blank tender documents can be obtained through web site www.knnlindia.com. and by linking to e-tender (i.e., once you are in the above website, click on e-tender wizard, which will link to www tender wizard. com where electronic tendering  is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available therein.

1. Manual tendering: The aspiring bidders may i) Submit their applications for blank tender    documents,
ii) Receive blank tender documents and. iii) Submit the sealed tenders at the following places on the notified dates.

The bidder should indicate in their application the place where they desired to receive blank tender documents

1. Registered Office of the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, Coffee Board Building, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore

2. Central Office of the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, WALMI Building, Belgaum Road, Dharwad.

3. Office of the Chief Engineer, KNNL. Upper Tunga Project Zone, Shimoga.

4. Office of the Executive Engineer, KNNL. Upper Tunga Project Division, Rattihalli Ta: Hirekerur, Dist: Haveri.

The bidder should specify the place in the requisition the place where he intended to receive blank tender document.

CALENDER OF EVENTS OF TENDERING

Note: If the bidders for Sl.No.6 & 7 are category-III of Select list of contractors of KNNL only the price bids will be opened on 13.02.2008

NOTE :-

1. If any of the dated mentioned above happens to be general holiday, the next working day will holds good.

2. The amount for the blank tender document (Non refundable) shall be paid in the form of D.D.or Bankers Cheque of a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of KNNL, Payable at Hirekerur D.D. , Date, amount and name of Bank etc.

3. The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com  and by linking to             e-Tendering ( i.e.,once you are in the above website, click on E-Tender wizard which will link to www.tenderwizard. Com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted thorough electronic tender box available there in.

4. The intending tender shall submit the completed tender along with EMD and pre-qualification details. In section-I & II, Section-I is price bid   and section-II is EMD and other relevant document, Such as   pre-qualification documents etc.,

5. The contractor will obtained tender documents from the website fill them, submit the completed tender document into electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the       e-Tendering documents along with pre-qualification documents.

6. E.M.D. shall be in the form of D.D. or Bank Guarantee/Bankers’s cheque of scheduled bank draw in favour of Karnatka Neeravari Nigam Limited, & payable at Hirekerur. District : Haveri, The validity of E.M.D shall be submitted for minimum period of 180 Days.

The following Pre-qualification conditions are applicable for works under Sl.No. 6&7 and P.Q. Conditions are below.

i)     The  contractor should have executed and completed one single work of similar nature costing not less than the amount put to tender in any one year during in last three years as a prime contractor.

ii) The annual turnover of the bidder should be more than the amount of amount put to tender for which they have intended to bid, in any one year during last three years.

iii) The probable quantum of work proposed to be entrusted to the contractor is depending upon the financial turn over (Average turn over of last three years.)

iv) The contractors should have the ownership of at least the following machineries / equipments.

a) Excavator of not less than 0.9 Cum.  capacity.                           1 No.
b) Tippers of not less than 4 Cum.  capacity.                                  2 No.s
c) Concrete mixer of not less than 7 Cft.  capacity with hopper.     2 No.s
d) All other materials required for construction of works, such as water tanker , vibrator, centering and   form work materials etc.,

v) Pre-qualification is not required for the contractor of the select list of contractors of KNNL, but they should submit EMD, Category certificate and other relevant documents in Section-II.

1) The following certificates shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document.

i) Contractors enrollment letter under KNNL/registration certification from KPWD.

ii) Employee Provident Fund (E.P.F) registration certificate.

iii) Latest Income Tax clearance certificate.

iv) Karnataka Sales Tax clearance certificate.

v) Bidders for the works who have already executed the work and/ or who are executing the work under KARNATAKA NEERAVARI NIGAM LIMITED should enclose the performance certificate from the concerned Executive Engineer, for having satisfactorily executed or satisfactorily executing the work under taken by them under KARNATKA NEERAVARI NIGAM LIMITED. Such tender received without performance certificates or with unsatisfactory performance are liable for rejection.

2) All the above original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of tenders for verification.

3) The contractor should attach his / her scanned signature to the Schedule "B" before submitting e-Tender.

4) Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected.  The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

5) Corrigendum will be published in the website for all modification / corrections if any.

6) Total cost of work on hand in KNNL with one contractor should not exceed Rs. 20.00 crores. (Rupees. Twenty crores) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation, gates, etc.,

7) The intending bidders should know that, if any of lands either in part/parts or in whole required for the work is not acquired by the NIGAM, it shall be the responsibility of the bidder to take possession of such land and start the work by conset from the land owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the NIGAM. And no claim what so ever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained.

8) As per letr. No.339, Dated: 27.04.2007 of Senior Geologists Mines and Geology Department Dharwad, the required sand for works may be obtained from the registered Agency of Mines and Geology Department.
