Sealed Percentage Tenders, Manual cum electronic tenders (e-tender) are invited. by the undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited from contractors registered with K.N.N.L. /Agencies for the works mentioned in the statement below. Tenders may be applied through e-tendering or by manual system. While applying for the Tender, the contractors shall invariably mention whether he wants to submit the tender manually or through e-tendering.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The Contractor can submit application for blank tender documents, issue of blank tender document and submit the sealed tenders at any of the following places on the notified dates.

a) Office of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, MRBCC Division No.3 Byahatti.
b) Superintending Engineer, KNNL, MLBCC Circle Naviltheertha
c). Chief Engineer, KNNL, Malaprabha Project Zone, Dharwad 
d) Managing director, KNNL, 4th Floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R.    Ambedkar Veddhi, Bangalore.

2. Last date for receiving application for Blank tender documents Manual cum e-tendering on 1-4-08 from 10.00am to 5.00pm at the above mentioned Four offices

3. Issue of Blank Tender documents for Manual tendering on 2-4-08 from 10.00am to 5.00pm at the above mentioned Four offices and For e-tendering documents can be obtained from website from 10.00am to 5.00pm on 02-04-08

4. Last date for submission of Sealed Tender documents Manual cum E-tendering on 3-4-08 upto 4.00pm

5. Last date for submission of Original EMD in the form of DD applied for E-tendering to the office of undersigned during office hours on 4- 4-08

6. Date of opening of Tenders on 5-4-08 at 11.00am in the O/o the Managing Director, KNNL, Bangalore.

7. Application  amount should be in the form of DD of Nationalized or scheduled bank drawn in favour of Executive Engineer, KNNL, MRBCC, Division No. 3 Byahatti payable at Hubli.

8. Further any information and condition can be had from the office of the undersigned during office hours (0836-2315225).

10. The cost of work on hand in KNNL with one contractor should not exceed Rs 20.00 Crores (Rs. Twenty Crores ) excluding cost of any major works  Dam,Barrage,Lift Irrigation,Gates etc .

11.Tenders in respect of works costing more than Rs one crore should be submitted in  two section. The first section indicate the percentage offered by the contractor on the basis of the contract specifications, Schedule-A and Schedule-B in the contract documents.  The contractor should neither make any alterations in the conditions of contract not stipulate any conditions of their own, in the first section of the tender.  The second section of the tender should contain the conditions and stipulations if any proposed by the contractor.

Notes:

1. The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and by linking to e-tender (i.e., once you are in the above website, click on E-tender wizard, which will link to www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available therein. Additional conditions and information’s can be obtained through above mentioned website.

2. The contractors can request for e-tendering document on the notified dates on KNNL web site www.knnlindia.com link to e-tender on payment of stipulated amount mentioned above towards cost of tender document (Non-Refundable).  While applying the contractor should enter the particulars of the payment like DD Number, date, amount and the name of the Bank. The Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers’ Cheque should be drawn in favour of “Executive Engineer, KNNL, MRBCC,Division No.3, Byahatti``, on any Scheduled Bank payable at Hubli.  The original DD should be submitted at the following offices on the notified date during office hours.

1) Executive Engineer, KNNL MRBCC Division No-3, BYAHATTI.
2) Office of the superintending Engineer MLBC Circle Naveeluteertha.
3) Chief Engineer, KNNL, Malaprabha Project Zone, Dharwad 
4) Managing Director, KNNL, 4th Floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore.
    

3. EMD should be in the form of DD or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of Executive Engineer KNNL MRBCC Division No-3, BYAHATTI  payable at Hubli.  Tenders received without valid EMD shall be rejected.  The validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 (One Hundred Eighty) days from the date of opening of tender.

4. The contractor will obtain tender documents from the website, fill them and submit the completed tender documents into electronic tender box on the website itself.  The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD, attested copies of documents shall be submitted to the office of the undersigned on 04-04-08during office hours.

5. The following certificates shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document.

1).Latest Income Tax Clearance Certificate.
2).Karnataka Sales Tax Clearance Certificate.
3).Contractor enrollment letter under KNNL.
4).Employee provident Fund (EPF) Registration certificate.

All the above original certificate shall be produced at the time of opening of tender verification.

6. Any documents submitted through Post/Courier is at the risk of Contractor (i.e., KNNL is not responsible for postal delay)

7. The Contractor should attach his/her scanned signature to the Schedule ‘B’ before submitting.

8. If any of the dates mentioned above happens to be a general holiday, the next working day will hold good.

11. Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected.  The officer competent to accept the tenders shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

12. Corrigendum will be published in the website and leading paper for all modification/ corrections if any.

13. The intending contractors should note that, if any of the lands (either in part/ parts or in whole) required for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land and start the work by consent of the owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims whatsoever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained.
