SHORTTERM PERCENTAGE WISE MANUAL CUM ELECTRONIC TWO COVER TENDERING SYSTEM Percentage sealed tenders in the prescribed form in duplicate two cover system (Section – I & II) are invited by the undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, Bangalore from the class I registered contractors of KPWD or registered contractors of category III and above in the select list of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited for the works mentioned in the statement below. For Manual Tendering: The aspiring bidders may The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and linking to-e-tender (i.e. once you are in the website click on e-tender wizard which will link www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available there in.
Note: 1. The aspiring contractor who have not previously obtained the user ID & password for participating in e-tendering in KNNL may now obtain the same by requesting in writing to the Registered Office KNNL Bangalore. 2. The Contractor should submit tender in two sections (Covers). The 1st section of the tender should contain the eligibility requirements of the bidder along with necessary work done certificate, capabilities with respect to personal, equipment and construction or manufacturing facilities, the prescribed E.M.D. and if any other conditions mentioned in the tender notification and the 2nd section should indicate percentage offered by the Contractor on the basis of the contract specifications, Schedule-A and Schedule-B of the contract form. 3. The contractor can request for blank tender document is on 15-04-2008 upto 5.30 pm in the KNNL website www.knnlindia.com link e-tender for electronic tender or in the above mentioned office for manual tender. The cost of form shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers cheque of a Nationalised Bank / scheduled bank drawn in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited., Payable at State Bank of Mysore, Kundapura. While applying through e-tendering contractor should enter the particulars of the payment like DD number, date, amount and the name of the bank. The original DD/Bankers cheque should be submitted at Executive Engineer, KNNL, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited., No.2 Varahi Reservoir Project Division, siddapura - 576 229, Udupi Dist., on17-04-2008 during office hours, if contractor has request through e-tendering along with a letter specifically mentioning the name of works. 4. The blank tender document will be issued manually on 23 -04-2008 upto 5.30 pm. 5. The contractors can have access to e-tender form (Tender document) is on 23-04-2008 upto 5.30 pm. 6. However on Receipt of application along with D.D /Bankers Cheque the blank tender document will be issued in the office of the undersigned up to the previous working day fixed for submission of Tenders.(i.e 25 -04-2008) 7. Last date for submission of completed e-tender document is on 26-04-2008 up to 4.00 pm and manual tender shall be submitted in the above mentioned offices on 26-04-2008 upto 4.00 pm. 8. The manual and e-tender will be opened in the office of the Managing Director, KNNL, 4th Floor, coffee Board Building. No.1 Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore - 01 at 11-30 am 28-04-2008 or any other convenient date, which will be informed. 9. E.M.D. should be in the form of DD or Bankers guarantee of a national or scheduled bank drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, No.2, Varahi Reservoir Project division, Siddapura payable at Kundapura, in prescribed Bank Guarantee format of KNNL. Tenders received without valid EMD shall be rejected. The validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 days from the date specified for opening of tenders and shall be submitted along with tender in manual tender system. 10. The contractor may obtain documents from website, fill them and submit the completed tender document in to electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender documents and original EMD document shall be submitted in person to the Executive Engineer, KNNL, No.2, Varahi Reservoir Project division, before opening place of the tender i.e. before 11.00 AM on 28 -04-2008. 11. PRE QUALIFICATION DETAILS The contractor should have satisfactorily completed similar type of single work costing not less than 75 % of the amount put to tender. (Work done certificate should be obtained from not below the rank of Executive Engineer). The annual turnover of the contractor should be more than 100% of the amount of work put to tender for which they have intended to bid in any one year during last 3 years. The contractor should have the ownership or hire agreement of at least the following machineries equipments.
All the above original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of tender for verification The Class-I contractors who are not enrolled in KNNL, but who satisfy the pre-qualification conditions are only eligible to bid for the above work. 12. The above certificates shall be scanned and attached to e-tender document and the original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of tender for verification. 13. While applying along with application, contractor should enclose self attested copy of KPWD or KNNL registration certificates, Employee Provident Fund (E.P.F.) registration certificate 14. If any of the dates mentioned above happens to be general holiday, the next working day will holds good. 11. Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any one or all the tenders without assigning any reason what so ever. 12. Corrigendum will be published in the website for all modification / corrections if any. 13. Bidders for the works who have already executed the works and / or who are executing the works under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited should enclosed performance certificates from the concerned, Executive Engineer for having satisfactorily executed or satisfactorily executing the works undertaken by them under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited. Such tenders received without performance certificates or unsatisfactory performances are liable for rejection. However bidders for the works who have not executed the work under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited should enclose self declaration certificate. 14. Total cost of work on hand in KNNL with one contractor should not exceed Rs. 20.00 cores ( Rupees Twenty Cores ) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation, gates etc., 15. The one percentage labour cess shall be deducted from contract value. The intending contractor should consider this while quoting the percentage. 16. The intending contractors should note that, if any of the lands (either in part / parts as in whole) required for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land and start the work by consent of the owners be commencement of work at no extra cost to Nigam and no claims what so ever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained. 17.
