PERCENTAGE RATE  TENDER NOTIFICATION No.01/2009-10,  Dated: 28.05.2009.

       Sealed percentage tenders in duplicate by manual & e-tender system in the prescribed form in duplicate are invited by the undersigned on behalf of The Managing Director, KNNL, Bangalore, from the eligible contractors having registered with KPWD and enrolled in selected list of contractors of KNNL.

     The blank e-tender documents can be obtained through web site “ www.knnlindia.com” by lining to e-tender ( i.e. once you are in the above web site, click on to e-tender wizard, which will link to “ www.tenderwizard.com” where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available therein.

     Manual tendering, the aspiring bidders may i) Submit their applications (along with requisite non refundable cost of blank tender form) ii) Receive blank tender documents iii) Submit the sealed tenders, at the following places on the notified dates.

     The bidders should indicate in their application, the place where they are desired to receive blank tender documents.

1. The Registered office of KNNL, Coffee Board Building, IV Floor, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Road, Bangalore.
2. The Central Office of the KNNL, WALMI Building Belgaum Road, Belur Dharawad.
3. Office of the Chief Engineer, KNNL, UTP Zone , Shimoga.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS OF TENDERING

Note:

1. If any of the dated mentioned above happens to be general holiday, the next working day will holds good.

2. The amount for the blank tender document (Non refundable) shall be paid in the form of D.D or Bankers Cheque of a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of KNNL. Payable at Hirekerur D.D., date, amount and name of Bank etc., shall be mentioned in their application.

3. The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com by linking to e-Tendering ( i.e., once you are in the above website, click on E-Tender provided) and can be submitted through electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available there in.

4. The contractor will obtained tender documents form the web site fill them, submit the completed tender document in to electronic tender box on the website itself, The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-Tendering documents along with pre-qualification documents.

5. E.M.D shall be in the form of D.D or Bank Guarantee/Banker’s cheque of scheduled bank draw in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited, and payable at Hirekerur. District: Haveri, The validity of E.M.D Shall be submitted for minimum period of 180 days.

6. The Officer competent to accept tenders have the right to reject or accept any or all the tenders without assigning any reasons.

7. The intending tender shell submit the completed tender along with EMD and pre-qualification details in section I & II Section Ist is price bid and Section –II is EMD and other relevant  document , such  as  pre-qualification documents etc.,

THE PRE-QUALIFICATION CONDITIONS FOR THE WORKS COSTING OF RS.50.00 LAKHS AND ABOVE FOR KPWD CLASS-I CONTRACTORS.

1. The contractor should have executed and completed one single work of similar nature costing not less than the amount put tender in any one year during last three years as a prime contractor.

2. The Annual turnover of the bidder should be more than the amount put to tender for which they have intended to bid, in any one year during last three years.

3. The probable quantum of work proposed to be entrusted to the contractor  is depending  upon the financial turn over (Average turn over of last three years)

4. The contractor should have ownership of at least the following machineries equipments

a) Excavator of not less than 0.9cum capacity                                         -1 No. 
b) Tipper of not less than 4cum capacity                                                 -2 No.s
c) Concrete mix of not less than 7Cft. Capacity with hopper                  -2 No.s
d) All other materials required for constructions of works , such as water tanker, vibrator, centering  and formwork materials etc.,

5.    Pre qualification is not required for the contractors of the selected list of contractors of KNNL , but  they should  submit EMD, Category certificate and other relevant documents in Section –II.

6. The following certificate shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender documents.

7.Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all tenders with out assigning any reason whatsoever.

8. Corrigendum will be published in the website for all modification/corrections if any.

9. Total cost of work on hand in KNNL with one contractor should not exceed Rs. 20.00 cores (Rupees Twenty cores) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation, gates etc.,

10. The intending bidders should know that, if any of lands either in part/parts or in whole required for the work is not acquired by the NIGAM, it shall be the responsibility of the bidder to take possession of such land and start the work by consent from the land owners before commencements of work at no extra cost to the NIGAM. And no claim what so ever relating to non0availability of land would be entertained.

11. Bidders for the works who have already executed the work and/or who are executing the work under KARNATAKA NEERAVARI NIGAM LIMITED should enclose the performance certificate from the concerned Executive Engineer, for having satisfactorily executed or satisfactorily executing the work under taken by them under KARNATAKA NEERAVARI NIGAM LIMITED. Such tender received without performance certificates or with unsatisfactory performance are liable for rejection.

12. All the concrete works such as CC Lining ,CD works, Headwork’s, Regulator cum escape, etc., are subjected to the verification and conducting random  surprise checks and inspections by the external agency (Third Party inspection) where ever necessary in addition to the Departmental Quality control staff  to ensure good quality work , thickness of  lining etc., before making payment to the contractor’s.
