1. The Bidder should be a category-I enlisted contractor under KNNL.

1. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed a single work of not less than 50% of the amount put to tender, like canal works, head works, bridges CD works, Box constructions and other Hydraulic structures.
   
   
2. The annual turn over of the agency in any two financial years during the last 5 years should not be less than 120.00 Crores.
   
   
3. The bidder should have liquid assets and or availability and credit facilities of not less than 30% of the amount of contract (credit lines / letter of credit / certificate from banks) for meeting the fund requirements.
   
   
4. The bidder should have experience in arranging infrastructure for casting and erection of PCC heavy elements of weight not less than 14 Tons.
   
   
5. The bidder should tackle and complete the critical reaches from Ch:1170 to 1260m and 1980 to 2070m within 3 months from award of tender and he should furnish the detailed working plan, programme quantifying the items involved and time Schedule.
   
   
6. “Bidders for the work who have already executed the work and / or who are executing the works under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited should enclose performance certificates from the concerned Executive Engineer for having satisfactorily executed / or satisfactorily executing the works undertaken by them under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited. Such tenders received without performance certificates or with unsatisfactory performance are liable for rejection” (should be enclosed to the bid).
   
   
7. The successful bidder should produce an additional performance security in the form of bank guarantee for the difference amount below 25% if the quoted rates are below 75% of the estimated rates before executing the agreement with KNNL.
   
   
8. All the documents to meet the requirements shall be submitted in sealed cover in duplicate super-scribing the name of the work at the time of submission of bid document.
   
   
   
9. Contractors can request for blank tender document on 22.12.2009 upto 5.30 PM in the offices mentioned in note (9) (for manual tendering) on payment towards the cost of blank tender document. This cost shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Banker’s Cheque of a Nationalized Bank / Schedule Bank drawn in favor of Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd., Kalasa Project Division, Khanapur payable at Khanapur (non-refundable) and for E-tendering Contractor can request through KNNL website www.knnlindia.com
   
   
10. If the contactor opts for E-Tendering, he should enter the particulars like Demand Draft, No. Date, Amount & Name of Bank in the website and also original DD should submitted at the Office of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, Kalasa Project Division, Khanapur before 23.12.2009 along with a letter specifically mentioning the name of work.
    
    
11. The manual blank tender documents and E-Tender documents in E-mode will be issued on 24.12.2009 upto 5.30 PM in the above mentioned offices (Note 9).
    
    
12. Date of submission of completed E-tender document and also for manual tendering is on 30.12.2009 upto 4.00 PM.
    
    
13. However, on the receipt of the application along with DD, blank tender document will be issued in the office of the undersigned upto 29.12.2009  upto 5.30PM
    
    
14. Opening of bid will be on 31.12.2009 at 4.30 PM at the office of the Managing Director, KNNL, Coffee Board, Building, Bangalore.
15. EMD should be in the form of DD or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalized or scheduled Bank drawn in favor of Executive Engineer, KNNL, Kalasa Project Division, Khanapur. The contractor opting for e-tendering, the EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD shall be submitted in person to the undersigned at Registered Office of the M.D, KNNL, 4th Floor, Coffee Board, Bangalore on 31.12.2009 upto 4.00 PM. Tenders received without valid EMD shall be rejected. The validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 (One Hundred Eighty) days from the date of opening of tenders and shall be submitted along with tenders.
16. The receipt of application, issue of blank tender documents and receipt of the completed tender documents will be at any of the following offices.

1. The following certificate shall be scanned and attached to E-Tender document and also should be enclosed in the Bid.
1. Contractor Certificate enrolled under KNNL select list of Contractors.
2. Income Tax PAN Certificates.
3. Latest copy of VAT Registration Certificate.
4. Employee Provident Fund (EPF) Registration Certificate.
5. All the above original certificates shall be produced at the time of opening of Bid for verification.
   
   Any documents submitted through post / courier is at the risk of contractor (i.e., KNNL is not responsible for postal delay).
   
   Corrigendum will be published in the News Papers /Website for all modifications / corrections if any.
   
   The Contractor should attach his / her scanned signature to the Schedule B before submitting, if contractor opts for e-tendering.
   
   The intending contractors should note that, if any of the lands (either in part / parts or in whole) required for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land and start the work by consent of the owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims whatsoever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained.
   
   If any of the dates mentioned above happens to be a general holiday, the next working day will be holds good.
   
   The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
