SHORT TERM TENDER NOTIFICATION

PERCENTAGE TENDER

Sealed Percentage tenders in duplicate are invited by manually cum electronic tenders (e-tenders) in the prescribed form by the undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd., from the Class III and above registered contractors of KPWD or enrolled in the selected list of contractors of KNNL for the work mentioned in the statement below.  This tender is through e-tendering or by manual system.  While applying for the tender the Contractor shall invariably mention whether they want to submit their tender by manually or e-tendering.

            The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and by links to e-tendering (i.e., once you are in the above website click on e-tender wizard which will link to www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available therein OR the blank tender documents obtained and submitted manually in the offices mentioned below during office hours.

STATEMENT OF WORKS

Two cover system for work No 1 to 7:

1. The Contractor should submit tender in two sections (covers) for the works under serial No 1 to 7.  The first section of the tender should contain
2. Sales Tax/ Income Tax latest clearance Certificate attested copy shall be furnished.
3. Attested copy of Registration.
4. Attested Copy of E.P.F.Registration Certificate.
5. The Contractor should have satisfactorily completed in the last 3 years works like earth work  excavation, concrete lining work, cut and cover etc., or satisfactorily executing the works Costing not less than 50% of the tender amount for which the contractor intends to bid  for the works under serial No 1 to 7. Original Work done certificate or performance certificate which ever is applicable should be obtained from the Officer, not below the rank of Executive Engineer, should be produced.
6. E.M.D.  As in the tender notification and the conditions, should be produced.
7. For the works in serial No 1 to 7 contractors should have owned or leased the following machinery equipments.

1. Excavator - 60                                                           1 No
2. Tipper not less than 4 Cmt capacity                       2 Nos
3. Vibrator                                                                      2 Nos
4. Concrete Mixer                                                          2 Nos
5. Concrete Paver Mixer                                              1 No. (applicable to the bidders who intends                                                                                          to apply for the work under Sl.No. 1 & 2)

For Excavator, Tipper and concrete Pavers if owned, attested copy of R.C. Book or ownership documents and if leased attested copy of lease agreement along with attested copy of R.C. Book and ownership document should be produced. 

All other materials required for the construction of works such as water tank, centering materials, frame works etc.,to be listed and enclosed. Particulars of all the above machineries and equipments should be Attested.

            The second section should indicate the percentage offered by the Contractor on the basis of the Contracts specification, Schedule “A: & Schedule “B” of the contract form.

            Section I Cover will be opened first and evaluated. Section II cover will be opened only if bidder satisfies the eligibility requirement and prescribed E.M.D submitted is in order.

            If the Contractor submits his tender in common cover containing sealed covers of Section I and Section II separately, then common cover should be superscribed as “common cover containing Section I and Section II. The contractor should attach his / her scanned signature to the Schedule “B” before submitting through e-tendering.  Sealed Cover superscribed with the Name of Work, Tender Notification No. & Date for manual tendering.

General Note:

1. Password for participating in e-tendering in KNNL may be obtained  by   requesting in writing to the Registered Office, KNNL. Bangalore.
2. 3.  The contractors can request for blank tender document  from 11-12-2009 to 14-12-2009 up to 5.30p.m in the KNNL website www.Knnlindia.com link for e-tendering and in the above mentioned offices for manual tendering.  The cost of the tender form shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers cheque of a Nationalized Bank / scheduled bank drawn in favour of Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neearavari Nigam Ltd. Varahi Project Division,Siddapura, Kundapura Taluk,Udupi District payable at State Bank of Mysore, Kundapura.  While applying through e-tendering, the contractor should enter the particulars of  D.D/Bankers Cheque like No., date, amount and the name of the Bank and the name of the work intended to bid.  The original D.D/Bankers Cheque for e-tenders should be submitted at   Executive Engineer’s Office, KNNL., Varahi Project Division, Siddapura – 576 229, Udupi District on 16-12-2009 during Office hours.  For manual tendering, application fee in the form of  D.D/Bankers Cheque should be submitted along with application in the below mentioned offices on 11-12-2009.

The blank tender document will be issued manually on  18-12-2009 up to 5.30P.M.at the following offices

i).Registered Office, KNNL, 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Amebdkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01.

ii).Central Office, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Limited, Walmi Building, Dharwad.

iii).Executive Engineer, KNNL, Varahi Project Division, Siddapura, Udupi District.
   

1. However on Receipt of application along with DD/Bankers Cheque the Blank tender document will be  issued in the office of the undersigned up to the previous working day fixed for submission of tenders i.e. up to 19-12-2009
2. The Contractors can have access to e-tender on 18-12-2009 up to 5.00P.M.
3. Last date for submission of completed e-tender document is on 21-12-2009 up to 4.00 P.M. and manual tender shall be submitted in the  above mentioned offices on 21-12-2009  up to 4.00 P.M.
4. For  two cover system Tender ie,Serial No 1 to 7  Cover I (Both Manual and e-tender) will be opened in the Office of the Managing Director, KNNL., 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01 at 11.30 A.M. on  23-12-2009 .Date of  Opening of Cover II will be intimated Qualified bidders .
5. For single cover tender system, the manual and e-tender will be opened in the Office of the Managing Director, KNNL., 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01 at 12.00 A.M. on  23-12-2009  or any other convenient day, which will be informed.
6. E.M.D. should be in the form of DD or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalized or scheduled bank drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, Varahi Project Division, Siddapura payable at Kundapura.Tenders received without valid EMD shall be liable for rejection. In case of Bank Guarantee the validity of EMD shall be for  a period of 180 days from the day of opening of tender i.e, 180 days from 23-12-2009 along with tender in manual tender system.
7. The Contractor may obtain documents from website, fill them and submit the completed tender document in to electronic tender box on the website itself.  The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD document and attested copies of the documents  shall be submitted in person to the Executive Engineer, KNNl., Varahi Project Division, Siddapura @  KNNL Registered Office Bangalore  before opening of    the tender, i.e., before 11.30 A.M on 23-12-2009.
   11.      Contractors shall produce the original contract registration book during issue of blank tender form compulsorily.
8.  Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The Officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
9.  If any of the dates mentioned above happen to be General Holiday, the next working day will holds good.
10. Any documents submitted through post / Courier is at the risk of contractor (i.e., KNNL. is not responsible for postal delay).
11. The intending contractors should note that if any lands (either in part/parts or in whole)  required       for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam,it shall be the responsibilities of the  contractor to     take possession of such land and start the work by consent of the owners  before commencement of work at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims whatsoever   relating to non-availability of land would be entertained. Sales Tax/ Income Tax latest clearance Certificate  attested copy  shall be furnished.
12.  For works from S.No. 8 to 20 following documents should be attached.

1.  Sales Tax/ Income Tax  latest clearance Certificate. Attested copy  shall be furnished.
2. Attested copy of Registration.
3. Attested Copy of E.P.F.Registration Certificate.
