SHORT TERM PERCENTAGE TENDER

NOTIFICATION

Sealed Percentage tenders in duplicate are invited by manually cum electronic tenders (e-tenders) in the prescribed form by the undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd., from the Registered Contractors of KPWD or enrolled in the selected list of contractors of KNNL for the work mentioned below,and Class of the Contractors are as in the column No. 7 of the statement. This tender is through e-tendering or by manual system. While applying for the tender the Contractor shall invariably mention whether they want to submit their tender by manually or e-tendering. .

The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and by links to e-tendering (i.e., once you are in the above website click on e-tender wizard which will link to www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available therein OR the blank tender documents obtained and submitted manually in the offices mentioned below during office hours.

Two cover system for work No 1 to 22 :

1. The Contractor should submit tender in two sections ( two covers) for the works under serial No 1 to 22. The first section of the tender should contain

i) For Those who are enrolled in KNNL Selected list of Category Contractors .

a) Sales Tax clearance Certificate for the period ending 2008-09 .Attested copy shall be furnished.

b) Attested copy of Registration.

c) Attested Copy of E.P.F.Registration Certificate.

d) E.M.D. As in the tender notification and the conditions, should be produced.

ii) For Other Contractors

a) Sales Tax clearance Certificate for the period ending 2008-09 .Attested copy shall be furnished.

b) Attested copy of Registration.

c) Attested Copy of E.P.F.Registration Certificate.

e) The Contractor should have satisfactorily completed in the last 3 years works like Bridges, Earth work excavation, concrete lining work, Concrete Structural works, dams (costing not less than 50% of the tender amount for which the contractor intends to bid for the works) or satisfactorily executing the works Costing not less than 50% of the tender amount for which the contractor intends to bid for the works under serial No 1 to 22. Original Work done certificate or performance certificate which ever is applicable should be obtained from the Officer, not below the rank of Executive Engineer, should be produced.

f) E.M.D. As in the tender notification and the conditions, should be produced.

g) For the works in serial No 1 to 22 contractors should have owned or leased the following machinery equipments.

i) Excavator - 60 1 No

ii) Tipper not less than 4 Cmt capacity 2 Nos

iii) Vibrator 2 Nos

iv) Concrete Mixer 2 Nos

For Excavator ,Tipper, Vibrator, Concrete Mixer if owned, attested copy of R.C. Book or ownership documents and if leased attested copy of lease agreement along with attested copy of R.C. Book and ownership document should be produced.

The second section should indicate the percentage offered by the Contractor on the basis of the Contracts specification, Schedule “A: & Schedule “B” of the contract form.

Section I Cover will be opened first and evaluated. Section II cover will be opened only if bidder satisfies the eligibility requirement and prescribed E.M.D submitted is in order.

General Note:

2. Password for participating in e-tendering in KNNL may be obtained by requesting in writing to the Registered Office, KNNL. Bangalore.

3. The contractors can request for blank tender document from 5-03-2010 to 09-03-2010 up to 5.30p.m in the KNNL website www.Knnlindia.com link for e-tendering and in the above mentioned offices for manual tendering. The cost of the tender form shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers cheque of a Nationalized Bank / scheduled bank drawn in favour of Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neearavari Nigam Ltd. Varahi Project Division,Siddapura, Kundapura Taluk,Udupi District payable at State Bank of Mysore, Kundapura. While applying through e-tendering, the contractor should enter the particulars of D.D/Bankers Cheque like No., date, amount and the name of the Bank and the name of the work intended to bid. The original D.D/Bankers Cheque for e-tenders should be submitted at Executive Engineer’s Office, KNNL., Varahi Project Division, Siddapura – 576 229, Udupi District on 11-03-2010 during Office hours. For manual tendering, application fee in the form of D.D/Bankers Cheque should be submitted along with application in the below mentioned offices on 09-03-2010

i).Registered Office, KNNL, 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Amebdkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01.

ii).Central Office, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Limited, Walmi Building, Dharwad.

iii).Executive Engineer, KNNL, Varahi Project Division, Siddapura, Udupi District.

iv) Contractor should clearely mention the place where they willing to receive the blank tender forms (i.e., above 3 offices) in the application.

4. The blank tender document will be issued manually on 19-03-2010 up to 5.30P.M.at the following offices

i).Registered Office, KNNL, 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Amebdkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01.
ii).Central Office, Karnataka Neeravri Nigama Limited, Walmi Building, Dharwad.
iii).Executive Engineer, KNNL, Varahi Project Division, Siddapura, Udupi District.

5. However on Receipt of application along with D D/Bankers Cheque the Blank tender document will be issued in the office of the undersigned up to the previous working day fixed for submission of tenders i.e. up to 20.03.2010

6. The Contractors can have access to e-tender on 19.03.2010 up to 5.00P.M.

7. Last date for submission of completed e-tender document is on 22-03-2010 up to 4.00 P.M. and manual tender shall be submitted in the above mentioned offices on 22-03-2010 up to 4.00 P.M.

8. For two cover system Tender ie,Serial No 1 to 22 Cover I (Both Manual and e-tender) will be opened in the Office of the Managing Director, KNNL., 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01 at 11.30 A.M. on 25-03-2010 .Date of Opening of Cover II will be intimated for Qualified bidders .

For single cover tender system, the manual and e-tender will be opened in the Office of the Managing Director, KNNL., 4th floor, Coffee Board Building, No.1 Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore-01 at 12.30 P.M. on 25.03.2010 or any other convenient day, which will be informed.

9. E.M.D. should be in the form of DD or Bank Guarantee of a Nationalized or scheduled bank drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, Varahi Project Division, Siddapura payable at Kundapura.Tenders received without valid EMD shall be liable for rejection. In case of Bank Guarantee the validity of EMD shall be for a period of 180 days from the day of opening of tender i.e, 180 days from 25.03.2010 along with tender in manual tender system.

10. The Contractor may obtain documents from website, fill them and submit the completed tender document in to electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD document and attested copies of the documents shall be submitted in person to the Executive Engineer, KNNl., Varahi Project Division, Siddapura @ KNNL Registered Office Bangalore before opening of the tender, i.e., before 11.30 A.M on 25.03.2010

11. Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The Officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

12. If any of the dates mentioned above happen to be General Holiday, the next working day will holds good.

13. Any documents submitted through post / Courier is at the risk of contractor (i.e., KNNL. is not responsible for postal delay).

14. The intending contractors should note that if any lands (either in part/parts or in whole) required for the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam,it shall be the responsibilities of the contractor to take possession of such land and start the work by consent of the owners before commencement of work at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims what so ever relating to non-availability of land would be entertained.

15. Contractors should submit Attested copy of Contractor Registration and Attested EPF Registration copy while applying for the work.

16. For works from S.No. 23 to 25 following documents should be attached.

i) Sales Tax clearance Certificate for the period ending 2008-09. Attested copy shall be furnished.

ii) Attested copy of Registration.

iii) Attested Copy of E.P.F.Registration Certificate.
