SHORT TERM ITEM WISE TENDER NOTIFICATION

Sealed Item wise tenders in duplicate invited by manually or electronic tenders (e-tenders) in the prescribed form by undersigned on behalf of the Managing Director, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., from the class II and above registered contractors of KPWD of enrolled in the select list of contractors of KNNL for the works mentioned in the statement below. These tenders are through e-tendering or by manual system. While applying for the tender the contractor shall invariably mention whether they want to submit their tender by manually or e-tendering.

The blank tender documents can be obtained through website www.knnlindia.com and by links to e-tendering (i.e, once you are in the above website. Click on e-tender wizard which will link to www.tenderwizard.com where electronic tendering is provided) and can be submitted through electronic tender box available there is OR the blank tender documents obtained and submitted manually in the office mentioned below.

2. Central Office, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., Walmi Building, Dharwad.

3. Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., No. 2, Varahi Reservoir Project Division, SIDDAPURA – 576 229, Udupi District.

NOTE :

•  The aspiring contract who have not previously obtained the user ID & password for participating in e-tendering in KNNL may now obtain to same by requesting in writing to the registered office KNNL Bangalore.

•  The contractors can request for blank tender document is on 29-10-2005 upto 5.30p.m. in the KNNL website www.knnlindia.com link e-tender or in the below mentioned office. The cost of form shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers cheque of a Nationalized Bank / schedule bank drawn in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., payable at State Bank of Mysore, Kundapura while applying the contractor should enter the particulars of the payment like number of the D.D., date of amount and the name of the bank. The original D.D. should be submitted at Executive Engineer, Karantaka Neeravari Nigama Ltd., No.2, Varahi Reservoir Project Division, SIDDAPURA – 576 229, Udupi District on 08-11-2005 during office hours if contractor has request through e-tendering along with a letter specifically mentioning the name of work.

•  The blank tender document will be issued manually on 09-11-2005 upto 5-30p.m.

•  The contractors can have access to e-tender on 09-11-2005 upto 5-30 p.m.

•  Last date for submission of completed e-tender document is 15-11-2005 up to 4.00 p.m. and manual tender shall be submitted in the above mentioned office on 15-11-2005 up to 4.00 p.m.

•  The manual and e-tender will be opened in the office of the Managing Director, KNNL, 4 th Floor, Coffee Board Building No.1, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore – 01 at 11.00a.m. on 17-11-2005.

•  EMD should be in the form of D.D. or Bank guarantee of a Nationalized or schedule bank drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, KNNL, No.2, Varahi Reservoir Project Division, Siddapura payable at S.B.M. Kundapura. Tenders received without valid EMD shall be rejected. The validity of EMD shall be period of 180 days from the date of submission of tender booklet and shall be submitted along with tender in manual tender system.

•  The contractor may obtain documents from website, fill them and submit the completed tender document in to electronic tender box on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the e-tender document and original EMD document and attested copies of the documents mentioned under serial no. 10 and 11 below shall be submitted in person to the Executive Engineer, KNNL, No.2, Varahi Reservoir Project Division, Siddapura before opening of the tender, therefore before 17-11-2005 during working hours.

•  Total cost of work on hand in KNNL should not exceed Rs. 20.00 crores (Rupees Twenty Crores) excluding cost of any major works like dam, barrage, lift irrigation gates etc.

•  Sales Tax / Income Tax clearance certificate shall be furnished.

•  Employee Provident Fund (EPF) registration certificate shall be furnished.

•  Contractors shall produce original contract registration book during issue of blank tender form compulsorily.

•  Whenever an erratic rate is quoted by contractor for any excavation item then the quantity mentioned in the tender for that item shall be paid at the quoted rate irrespective of actual strata encountered during execution.
