1. Sealed Item rate tenders in duplicate duly superscribing name of work are invited by the Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd., U.T.P. Division, Rattihalli on behalf of the Managing Director, K.N.N.L. Bangalore, from the contractors enrolled under category - II and above for the above work. The last date for receipt of Application for issue of blank tender documents is 1.7.2002 up to 4.00 PM.
   The cost of blank tender documents per set is Rs. 15,000/- inclusive of KST, S.C. ( Rs. Fifteen thousand only) (non-refundable) and shall be in the form of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited payable at Ranebennur and shall be enclosed with application. Copy of the valid enrollment certificate should be enclosed with the application.
   
   The application for issue of blank tender forms, issue of blank tender forms and receipt of completed sealed tenders will be at any of the following offices:

   The date for issue of blank tender papers is on 08.07.2002 & 09.07.2002 upto 5.30 pm. The date for receipt of completed tenders is on 30.07.02 & 31.07.02 upto 4.00 pm at any of the above offices. Section - II of tender will be opened on 02.08.02 in the office of the Executive Engineer, K.N.N.L., U.T.P. Division, Rattihalli at 11.00 am or any convenient date in presence of the contractor or their authorized representatives. The financial bids of the qualified bidder i.e. section - I will be opened, subsequently under intimation to the pre-qualified bidders. This office will not be responsible for postal delay if any.
   The K.N.N.L. reserves the right of accepting or rejecting any or all the tenders
   without assigning any reasons. The successful bidder should produce additional Bank Guarantee for difference amount below 75% of the quoted rates are below 75% of estimated rates before executing the agreement.
   
   Note:
   1. It may be noted that if any of the dates mentioned in the notification happens to be a general or declared holiday, the next working day will hold good.
   2. Eligiblity & Pre-qualification Conditions:
   a) The bidders should be an enrolled contractor of the Nigam in the category - II and above. Enrolment No. and validity period should be furnished.
   b) The bidder should have executed at least one work of Adequate or Road Bridge having well foundation (Caisson foundation) with an internal dia of not less than 3.0 mtr and minimum 4Nos. of wells sinking need only apply for this work. They should support their application with work done certifate from an officer of Government department or Government undertakings not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent post. The certificate should contain details of work such as, name of work, estimated cost, tendered amount, tender period, actual period of completion, No. of well sunk and diameter etc.
   c) The bidder should have executed the above work of well foundation in his own name and not in the name of joint venture partner or on sublet basis.
   
   3. The contractor should use the batching plant for mixing of concrete of various grades and should use transit mixer for transportation of concrete, compulsorily.
   4. Earnest money deposit (E.M.D) shall be furnished in the form of crossed demand draft or Bank Guarantee drawn on Schedule bank in favour of Karnataka Neeravari Nigam ltd., and payable at Ranebennur. Tenders received without requisite E.M.D. are liable to be rejected. The validity period of E.M.D. shall be for a minimum period of 90 (Ninety) days from the date of opening of tenders and Bank guarantee should be in the prescribed format enclosed to the tender documents.
   5. The intending contractors should note that in case there is part or whole of land required for the works not yet acquired by the Nigam, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to take possession of such land by consent of the owners before commencement of works at no extra cost to the Nigam and no claims what-so-ever relating to nonavailibility of land would be entertained.
   6. Contractor should note that the cost of work on hand in K.N.N.L shall not exceed Rs. 20 crores including cost of work now tendered, but excluding any major works like dams, lift irrigations etc. of specialized nature.
   7. Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any one or all tenders without assigning any reason what-so-ever.
   8. The contractor should submit tender in two sections(covers). The first section should indicate the item wise basic rate offered by the contractor on the basis of the contract specifications, Schedule - A and Schedule - B to the contract form. The contractor should neither make any alterations in the conditions of contract nor stipulate any conditions of their own, in the first section of the tender. The second section of the tender should contain the eligibility requirements of the bidder along with the necessary work done certificate, the prescribed EMD as in the tender notification and the conditions, stipulations if any proposed by the bidder. The section - II cover will be opened first and evaluated and section - I cover will be opened only, if the bidder satisfies the elegibility requirements and the prescribed EMD submitted is in order.
   9. Sealed cover should be super scribed with the name of work, tender notification number and date.
   10. The contractor should note their recent correct postal address in the Application form and declaration form.
   11. Incomplete tender document will be rejected.
   12. Latest Income tax clearance cetificate should be produced while applying for the blank bid document.
   13. All materials like Steel, Cement, blasting materials should be procured by the contractor only.
