TENDER NOTIFICATION NO 1/2001-02
DATE-25/8/01.

Sealed  tenders  in the prescribed form in duplicate are invited by the undersigned
on   Behalf    of    Managing   Director,   Karnataka    Neeravari    Nigam   Limited,  
from contractors  enrolled  In the select list of contractors of KNNL under category 
III & above for the works mentioned In the statement.

The  application  will  be  received, the blank tender documents will be issued and
the  Completed  tender  documents will be received at any of the following offices.

1) Office of the Executive Engineer, KNNL,U.T.P. Division, Mogad Road
    RANEBENNUR-581 115.
2) Office of the Chief Engineer KNNL, U.T.P. Zone, B.H. Road, SHIMOGA-577201
3) Karnataka  Neeravari  Nigam  Limited, Registered Office Coffee Board Building,
    4th Floor, No.1, Dr.Ambedekar Veedhi, Bangalore-560 001.

NOTE:-
1) Cost  of  blank  tender  document  per  set  is Rs 15,000.00 (Including KST and
    Surcharge)

The  above  total  amount  (Non - Refundable)  Shall be paid in the form of demand 
Draft (D.D.) or  bankers cheque of Nationalised / schedule bank drawn in favour of 
the KNNL payable @ Ranebennur.

2) Applications along with above DD cost will be received on 3rd & 4th of October 
   2001 Upto 5.00 pm
3) The  dates for issue of blank tender document is 17th and 18th of October-2001
   between 11.00 am and 4.00pm
4) The  dates  for  receipt  of  completed  tender  document  is  23rd  and  24th  of
   October-2001 between 11.00 am and 4.00pm.
5) The tender will be opened on 29th October 2001 at 11am
6) If  any  of  the date mentioned above happens to be a General Holiday, the next
   working Day will hold good.
7) The  contractor who purchases the blank tender form should without fail submit
   the  Tender  (along with prescribed EMD). If he fails to do so, his name is liable
   to  be  Removed from the select list of contractor and he would not be eligible to
   tender for Any work in future.
8) The  Intending  contractor  should  note that, if any of the lands ( either in part /
   parts  Or  in  whole )  required  for  the work is not yet acquired by the Nigam, it
   shall  be  the  Responsibility  of  the contractor to take possession of such land
   and start the work by Consent of the owners before the commencement of work
   at  no  extra  cost  to  the  Nigam  and  no  claims  whatsoever  relating  to  non
   availability of land would be Entertained.
9) The  KNNL  reserves  the  right  of  accepting or rejecting any or all the tenders
    without assigning any reasons. The successful bidder shall have to produce an
    additional bank guarantee for the difference amount below 25%, if quoted rates
    are below executingthe agreement with KNNL.
10) The  total  works  on  hand  in  KNNL  with  one  contractor should not exceed
    Rs. 20.00 crores (Rupees twenty crores only) and this  would be excluding any
    major  works  like  dam / Lift  irrigation etc. of specified nature. The contractors
    should  enclose  a statment showing lists of works on hand in KNNL along with
    amount put to tender, in the tender document.
